MyBirdies ("we", "our", or "the app") is a golf score tracking app that lets you log birdies, eagles, and aces with your golf group. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

When you use MyBirdies, we collect the following information:
- Account Information: Your email address and display name, which you provide when creating an account.
- Golf Scores: The birdies, eagles, and aces you log for each hole, along with the course and date played.
- Group Information: The groups you create or join, and your membership role (admin or member) within each group.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the MyBirdies app experience:
- To create and manage your account
- To let you log and view your golf scores
- To display leaderboards and statistics within your groups
- To allow group members to see each other's scores and rankings
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your golf scores and display name are visible to other members of the groups you join. This is a core feature of the app that enables group leaderboards and friendly competition.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform. All data is protected by row-level security policies that ensure you can only access data within your own groups. Data is transmitted using HTTPS encryption.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed. Scores you contributed to group leaderboards may be retained in anonymized form.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Update your display name and account information within the app
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Leave any group at any time
Children's Privacy
MyBirdies is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by other means. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last updated.
